Randal W. Deese has been active in street and door-to-door evangelism, teaching, and preaching since his conversion on December 22, 1974. He has served as a pastor and chaplain for the police, the Army, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He is a former Adjunct Professor of Greek at Messenger College (Pentecostal Church of God) in Bedford, Texas.

His current project is developing the Association of Biblical Pentecostals (ABP), aiming not only to guide Pentecostals toward a more Biblically accurate view on the core doctrine of the Gift of the Holy Spirit and to counter man-made doctrinal positions within Pentecostal circles, but also to offer strong biblical alternatives to the false teachings that have flooded Pentecostalism, especially through Word of Faith teachings.

He holds an M.Th. and is a Ph.D. candidate at Trinity Theological Seminary (Evangelical Seminary). His education also includes a Pentecostal Bible College (Christian Life Bible College), a Lutheran Seminary (Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary; Now Faith University), and a Methodist Seminary (Perkins School of Theology). His research interests focus on the reception of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament (pneumaceptology), the theology of the Book of Acts, 1 Corinthians, and the development of pneumaceptology within biblical and historical theology.
